The new version decouples them - explicitly setting them both (e.g., startValue: 111, min: 111 ) is equivalent to the previous behavior ( startValue: 111 and min is not specified). Previously, \"bar\" / \"pictorialBar\" / \"candlestick\" / \"boxplot\" series could overflow the Cartesian rectangle ( grid ) at the edge shapes. The new version eliminates that overflow. The previous behavior can be restored via axis.containShape: false .
