The Important flag is the partner-break line, not a badge

Shopify Theme CLI and script-tag deprecations are the Important lines. Recency is the shiny stuff.

The Important flag is the partner-break line, not a badge

So Shopify's API changelog on August 27: Password Protected Shop Dev flows on Shopify Theme CLI v3.83.x and older to be deprecated. We marked it Important because, to the best of my understanding, that's the kind of line that hits an agency or ISV harder than whatever feature launch landed the same week.

A few days earlier (August 24) they also flagged Script tags are deprecated and will stop running on March 1, 2027. Hard date. Same feed. If you're selling into the Shopify partner ecosystem, or your product sits next to Theme CLI workflows, those two lines matter more than "four additional topics for Events."

I keep catching myself scanning for shiny titles first. Kind of the wrong habit. Recency sort gives you model drops and free tiers. The Important filter (when the vendor or our scoring actually means it) is closer to what a SE needs before a renewal call.

We pull Shopify API Updates into a uniform entry shape at /sources/shopify-api-updates. Same JSON as everything else. The point isn't another dashboard. It's so you can ask "what broke for partners this week" without reading three RSS feeds by hand.
